Job DescriptionThe Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will provide technical and program management support to the IFES-Ethiopia field office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop M&E data collection tools that are streamlined into program activities;
Establish data management systems to effectively house and summarize program data;
Review, refine, and manage program monitoring and evaluation systems;
Regularly spot check and clean program data in compliance with USAID standards for data quality;
Collate and analyze project performance data;
Coordinate and provide M&E technical assistance and feedback to project partners, as required;
Compile and review partner data for donor reporting;
Assist in the reporting of M&E data into donor specific systems;
Coordinate and collaborate with HQ M&E staff in the preparation and delivery of data-based reflection and decision-making sessions;
Train and provide feedback to program staff on the implementation of M&E tools and systems;
Assist in managing and implementing program evaluations, as necessary;
Other relevant duties, as assigned by the Country Director.

The ability to complete tasks with limited supervision;
Excellent reporting and document handling skills;
Excellent communication skills in order to be able to work with IFES program and administrative staff to identify and resolve issues.

Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness.
Ability to handle sensitive issues and address inclusion matters with integrity
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required.
5 years of experience working with international NGOs on implementation of international technical assistance programs;
Experience working on USAID-funded programs;
Demonstrated professional experience and knowledge in program monitoring and evaluation;
Training/facilitation skill/qualification is an advantage;
Proficiency in Word, Power point, Outlook and Excel
