International Development Research Centre Program Administrator Jobs in Kenya

As part of your program administrator duties, you will be responsible for managing ongoing grants for applied research projects in partnership with several universities, think tanks and NGOs in Asia and Africa. You will support high quality research, knowledge mobilization and communication so that research translates into real improvement of national education systems.

You will support project teams to generate evidence for improved gender equality, equity and inclusion in education, and help implement knowledge synthesis at the program level, monitoring and evaluation, and competitive calls for proposals.

Locations (hybrid mode*):

Ottawa, Canada

Dakar, Senegal

Nairobi, Kenya

Employment status: Fixed term until March 2026

You Possess :

A master's degree in a relevant field of study.

Fluency in French and English (read, written and spoken). **

Proven experience in research and a good understanding of current challenges in global education policy.

Significant experience in managing projects, problem solving and facilitating collaborative and transdisciplinary research.

Experience in grant management, monitoring and evaluation, and knowledge mobilization.

A good understanding of the challenges of gender equality and the emancipation of women in the improvement of global education systems.

You :

Know how to collaborate and you thrive in a research-based environment that requires an ability to

build relationships and an inclination to work with researchers from all over the world.

Motivated and able to execute the plan through effective execution processes.

Passionate about improving education systems in low and middle income countries (LMICs).

An experienced research specialist with demonstrated skills in project management.

Support the implementation of program strategies for knowledge synthesis, monitoring and evaluation, as well as communication and engagement strategies.

Implement competitive bidding processes to attract, select and validate new projects that strengthen the resilience of education systems.

Improve research uptake by linking ongoing research to national decision-making and global networks.

Produce an impact; ensuring that research has an impact on policy and practice.
