Job Summary:The purpose of this role is to lead growth and diversification of grant income to
improve the organizations business research and development position. The incumbent will be
responsible to expand and diversify the institutional donor portifolio as well as the corporate done base. S/he will work proactively with Senior management team and other staff to identify and win appropriate grant opportunities by ensuring the timely and quality delivery of successful grant
proposals. S/he will participate in defining the organizations strategic goals, builds key Partner & Donor relationships, identify research opportunities, negotiates and closes research contracts/deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current donor funding opportunities
Responsibilities
New Business Development
Evaluate potential new research and development opportunities and identify new relevant partners
To evaluate and add new concepts to the organization research portfolio that are relevant to the overall goal of the organization
To manage research and benchmark strategy and present analysis to act accordingly
Initiate and complete proposals and presentations for new research and development
opportunities and send recommendations to the senior management team
Manage consultants and project deliverables related to business development projects
Partners Retention
Present new organization innovative ideas to partners and enhance existing relationships
Work closely with the organization senior management to meet partners needs
Arrange and participate in internal and external partner debriefs
Research/Business Development Planning
Attending meetings and research and development seminars/conferences to acquire
insights on the latest research news as well
Present to and consult with the pipeline committee on research trends with a view to
developing research and development innovations and partnership
Identify research opportunities that will lead to increase in funding
Qualifications
Masters Degree in Business Administration or project management
Bachelor degree in social sciences
Experiences
Over 5 years experience in Business Development field and preferably in research and development
Well maintained knowledge in research and donor funded industry
Experience in management of multiple projects to meet deadlines
Development of organization strategy and implementation roadmap including development
of vision, mission strategic priorities and balance scorecards that includes strategic
objectives, initiatives and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Effective communication skills both written and verbal
Exceptional research and analytical skills

Responsibilities
To assist in the finalization and implementation of a program wide communication strategy for both internal and external audiences:-
Assist in coordinating communication activities and events for PMA2020 project and the organization at large
Develop creative ways to document programmatic processes, successes and achievements (e.g. through
photos/info graphics/case stories, in periodic newsletters, brochures, briefs, website, social sites etc)
Assist to ensure compliance of activities with project communication strategy by following donor and ICRHK guidelines
Take lead in dissemination of communication materials to relevant stakeholders
Provide support to preparing periodic performance reports for submission to the donor.
Draft case studies and relevant project documents and suggest recommendations on varied issues (as and when required)
Develop key promotional messages in consultation with the project team
Assist in conducting awareness raising campaigns, events, information dissemination workshops, etc. for target groups
Assist in capacity building on communication for staff and partner organizations.
Participate in developing and evaluating feasibility, efficiency and quality of Information Education and Communication (IEC) materials
Participate in donor visits for showcasing project progress and achievements
Maintain documentation management system (hard copy and on network)
Storing, sorting and maintaining database of photographs of projects and their activities.
Conduct occasional research and writing assignments on ICRHK in diverse ways supportive to program goals,
including internal learning, policy debates, opinion articles;
Participate in the ICRHK processes (training, assessment);
Undertake the activities above in line with the associated budgets and with work plans, in ways that are consistent with ICRHK policies;
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Public relations, communications, and journalism, or related field.
3-5 years of related experience
Creativity in developing story lines; ability to translate complex policies into easily understood messages
that reach a wide audience;
Good interpersonal skills: the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into
account cultural and language difficulties.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Knowledge of computer systems and applications, specifically interactive digital media
Knowledge of how to present information to different audiences including general public, media to highlevel
decision-makers.
Analytical and conceptual skills to think and plan strategically. Skills and experience in communication
programs, monitoring, review and evaluation.
Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with government officials, community groups and other ICRHK partners.
Knowledge of photography and digital camera use
Demonstrated skills in program communication, development of Information, Education and Communication material, documentation and publication (including web-based documentation)

Responsibilities
Program Management support
Ensure a results-oriented monitoring plan inclusive of performance management plan
(PMP) indicators; Based on the PMP, design the framework for the monitoring of project
activities; Track, report, and update objectives, activities, key indicators, and results
over the life of the project.
Plan and oversee M&E activities ensuring effective use of data in decision-making:
Assess information needs, provide technical guidance and work with project managers
to determine key issues and requirements of the M&E system
Develop the overall framework for project M&E in accordance to the project and
document M&E plan
System Development
Lead M&E system and process development, creating a framework and procedures for
the monitoring and evaluation of project activities
Identify and select the technology platform for the program database system; then
design, develop and implement a relational database for the program to be used the
team
Data Management and analysis
Keep abreast of developments in the project/program changes and progress in order to advise and recommend tools and strategies to increase program performance and results
Analyze changes and patterns in KPI indicator data and performance reports in order to make recommendations to program staff.
Ensure data quality through data validation checks, including discrepancy/inconsistency
checks, real time data monitoring, data cleaning , and report generation of records from the databases.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management and/or
Health data management training, Masters degree (desirable)
Excellent knowledge and experience with the development of relational database
programs for entry of large data sets.
Minimum five years of professional experience conducting analysis of quantitative
program data.
Proficiency in data management and excellent hands-on experience with major data
analysis software packages (SPSS, SAS, STATA, CS Pro, etc.
Capacity to produce high-quality briefs and reports.
