Job Summary
We are in search of young, innovative, creative, self-motivated and dynamic communications professional with excellent and relevant experience and skills in Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC).
S/he must have a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates their ability to create concepts and execute designs for both digital and print media for a variety of projects with track record of producing high-quality work under tight deadlines.
S/he must possess the ability to take direction and feedback constructively and make necessary revisions in a timely manner.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Communication:
Lead development of the organization’s communications plans, create relevant messaging and materials, and implement communications strategies in line with the relevant the organization’s branding guidelines.
Identify, develop and support documentation of best practices of our various projects and initiatives using success and learning stories, briefs, press releases to promote learning and lesson sharing.
Support in the development of external and internal communication materials related to the organizations’ program activities and edit reports, memos, and other analytical documents.
Graphics Design and Development of Communication and Knowledge Management Products:
Design and produce high-quality, visually appealing communication products, including but not limited to newsletters, brochures, website content, social media graphics, email campaigns, short videos and reports
Content Database and Publicity Management:
Support in developing and maintaining high quality and updated content on the organization’s website and social media platforms, to promote internet-based knowledge sharing
Document key project accomplishments through development, review and editing of high-quality videos, pictures and visuals for communications to internal and
external stakeholders
Compose, edit, design, record, produce publications such as newsletters, leaflets, and brochures
Support state and central project teams to engage, coordinate and manage media at public health events
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Graphics Design, or related field.
A minimum of 3 years professional experience working as a graphic designer or in a similar role
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) including other relevant design software
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
Strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and with teams to develop creative concepts
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, experience with motion graphics, video editing, and animation, familiarity with user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design principles, knowledge of print production processes and requirements
Experience working in the field of health programs including HIV, Tuberculosis, Maternal and Child Health programs is an advantage
Specialized training in health communication, graphic design, advertising, marketing, photography, public relations and computer-aided design will be an advantage.
