Job Description

As a Finance Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the finance department in various financial tasks and ensuring the smooth financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.

  • Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

  • Prepare and process invoices, expenses, and reimbursements.

  • Assist in preparing budget plans and forecasts.

  • Monitor budgetary performance and report on variances.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure adherence to budget guidelines.

  • Reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records regularly.

  • Assist in generating financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  • Support the finance department in conducting internal audits.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.

  • Accurately input financial data into the company's accounting software.

  • Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.

  • Monitor and control expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.

  • Liaise with departments to manage and track expenditure.

  • Collaborate with the finance team to execute financial transactions and processes.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 1 - 5 years relevant work experience.

  • Previous experience in finance or accounting roles is desirable, but not mandatory.

    Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software, and financial management tools.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

    Analytical Skills:h

  • Ability to analyze financial data and present meaningful insights.

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

    Communication:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

    Time Management:

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Integrity:

  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of financial information.

  • High ethical standards and reliability.
