ILRI Field Assistant Jobs in Ethiopia

Duty Station: Arba Minch, Ethiopia

Main Responsibilities:

Liaise with YESH project staff on preparation for and implementation of planned sericulture development activities mainly in Arba Minch Zuria but also in Meirab Abaya Woredas;

Assist in data collection under the supervision of the project staff;

Facilitate work with youth groups in implementing planned activities for enterprise establishment;

Assist in organizing logistics for training of youth groups and extension staff;

Prepare and submit a monthly activity report against set action plan;

Attend to other duties as assigned by Project Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements:

Secondary school completed plus certificate of vocational training in agriculture or related areas Or College Diploma in Agriculture.

Five years’ work experience after completion of secondary school plus certificate of vocational training in agriculture or related areas

Two years for college diploma holders

Valid driving license to ride a motorbike will be an advantage.

Good working knowledge of written and spoken English, Amharic and Gamo/Wolaita essential

Ability to work under pressure

Good interpersonal communication skills.
