The AssignmentThe ILO is undertaking various activities in Isingiro, Madi Okollo and Arua districts that require documentation through pictures and video clips.
ILO is therefore seeking to engage an individual consultant to document the various activities being undertaken.
Work to be done
Take high-resolution action photos and video clips of events and activities in the
PROSPECTS Programme field locations.
• Take high-resolution action photos and video clips on pertinent world of work
topics (employment, skills training, business, social protection, community
cohesion etc.) from different angles and locations, working closely with the ILO
PROSPECTS Programme team.
• Compile an electronic photo album of high-resolution photos and video clips along
thematic areas or activities as indicated or guided by ILO PROSPECTS Programme
team.
• Write captions for all photos taken, explaining the situation, people shown in the
pictures and giving details of the dates and locations where the photos are taken
from.
• Seek and obtain documented consent for all photos taken and inform all subjects
that the photos are for ILO use as appropriate.
• Edit the photos and make them ready for electronic sharing, printing and use on
the internet or website.
• Submit to the ILO, all compiled high-resolution photos and video clips on a hard
disc drive.
• Provide basic photography/photography handling tips/skills to selected ILO
officers.
• Submit documented declaration to the ILO, surrendering all rights and privileges
on the photos to the ILO.
Deliverables
• A collection of high quality and high-resolution photos (The photos should be
of
high quality and resolution so that they can be used for various purposes).
• A collection of High quality video clips.
• Documented Consent from subjects photographed and or capture in video clips.
Duration
This contract will run for a five months duration, starting 1st November 2020 to 30th March 2021.
Fees & Payment schedule
Professional fees will be paid at a fixed daily rate and will not exceed 10 days a month. Fieldrelated expenses shall also be paid, based on ILO rates as well as actual costs incurred on transportation (to be paid as reimbursable, upon submission of related documentation) and as per ILO financial rules and regulations.
Required experience and qualifications/skills/ competencies
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in photography and videography.
• Ability to undertake independent travel to ILO PROSPECTS Programme areas (in the field) on short notice.
• University degree in journalism, media studies, development studies, social sciences or and any related field.
