About us

The InterContinental Lusaka is located on a tree-lined avenue in the Embassy area of Lusaka, close to the Judiciary and international corporate head offices. Originally opened in 1968.

After a multi-million-dollar renovations we are ready to re-launch this iconic hotel in Q3 2022 and the IHG’s InterContinental brand in the heart of Lusaka city, Zambia.

Your day to day

As the Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

Daily room inventory management process to establish and implement pricing, yield, and selling strategies for the hotel based on market factors and company guidelines

Manage all aspects of competitor intelligence; pricing;

Management of room inventory, and/or the yield hurdle points; distribution channels, market segment mix;

Acceptance/denial of major group bookings.

Lead the onsite Reservation Teams, you will report directly to the hotel’s General Manager.

Maximize all revenues to and for the Hotel, including but not limited to Rooms, Restaurants and Banquet/Catering Revenues.

Requirements

Ideal candidate should have some or all of the following competencies and experience we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Revenue or related field .

• Two to four years of experience in a hospitality or hotel setting with direct supervisory experience over a Reservations team, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work well with a diverse team

• In depth knowledge of local and middle east market.

• Pre-Opening and Luxury brand Experience are an advantage.
