ICT Director Corporate Services Authority Vacancies in Kenya

Responsibilities

Take the lead role in developing the financial strategy and policy for the Authority to guide
financial decision making

Oversee the process of development and implementation of financial plans and budgets for all functions, ensuring all support services are sustainable, functionally viable and delivered within budget, while promoting organisational efficiencies

Oversee the production and presentation of financial reports, budgets and projections

Lead the implementation or upgrading of appropriate financial accounting systems,processes
and controls

Oversee the corporate services of the Authority, liaising with internal managers and external service providers as necessary, including matters relating to security, health and safety and leases

Provide leadership and management for direct reports who are responsible for the management
of finance, administration, human resources and supply chain services ensuring effective
decisions are made, and quality service is provided to all internal and external customers and continuous improvement and innovation is encouraged

Oversee the development of effective policies and efficient systems, controls and procedures for
all matters relating to finance and corporate services

Oversee the accurate, complete and timely preparation of statutory annual reports including
monthly management accounts and balance sheets

Oversee annual audit process in conjunction with the internal audit team and the Kenya National Audit Office to ensure statutory accounts are produced within the required deadlines

Take the lead role for health and safety within the Authority and to ensure an effective
organisational approach to health and safety to meet regulatory requirements and mitigate risks

Work with the human resource department to ensure that the organisation’s performance
management framework and system are fully understood by all teams and ensure that all
performance milestones including objective setting and evaluations are done objectively and within the set timelines

Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in Business Administration

Member of a professional body

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in finance and administration five(5) of which should be in
management position.

Must have attended a

Strategic Leadership Development Programme

Extensive experience in performance management and the implementation of systems to
support excellent performance

Experience in leading and managing a wide variety of specialists and a proven ability to inspire confidence at all levels of the organization

ICT Accountant Vacancies in Kenya

Responsibilities

Participate in formulating and implementing sound financial accounting policies, procedures,
strategies and systems that ensure effective control and accountability of the Authority’s resources

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports

Review the general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting

Implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures

Prompt filing of statutory returns

Coordinate payment of suppliers in accordance with the Authority’s policies and procedures

Prepare cash flow statements

Prepare Board papers on financial matters

Facilitate the budget preparation exercise through collating of information from various functional areas and onward input into the system

Ensure safe custody of the Authority’s financial records including maintenance of a fixed assets register

Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting or related field

CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent professional certificate

Five years relevant experience
Member of a professional body

Computer literate
