About SOLVE -IT

SolveIT, one of the programs under iCog; the umbrella organization, is involved in organizing competitions involving innovative ideas. SolveIT has been hosting a nationwide competition for the past year.

Our aim is to let shine, the hidden talents of the Ethiopian youth by giving them the platform and the opportunity to build and succeed on their innovative ideas while solving their community’s problems.

About The position

The main responsibility of the Mentor is to provide business-related guidance for the mentees so that they can develop their innovative ideas into Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) that fit well into the market.

Job Description

Communicate with the mentees weekly—by telephone or email—to keep in touch about what is going on in their project .

Be encouraging and supportive of the mentees.

Follow up the activities that is given by the trainers .

Organizing regional and final competition .

Promoting the mentees project to investors.

Job Requirements

BA Degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management or related field

Minimum of two years experience in impact investors ,customer service, or event planning

Excellent people skills and service approach

Personable, positive attitude and excellent phone etiquette

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to respond promptly to queries and needs

Must be able to communicate easily and clearly in English
