ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks two Field Officers for Faith Based Community Initiatives to be based in Geita and Mwanza regions in Tanzania
The Field Officers, will be responsible for assisting the Program Coordinator-FCI to ensure the smooth technical assistance of the portfolio in Geita and Mwanza Regions.
This includes assisting in the planning and design of FCI interventions, providing technical assistance to FBOs in Geita and Mwanza regions on implementation and reporting of planned activities, monitoring the progress to targets and cascade performance across the region, assist field teams with ensuring provision of friendly services, identifying gaps in service delivery and quality, and brainstorming with other technical staff on solutions.
The incumbents must have a Bachelor Degree in Sociology or related discipline from a recognized academic institution, with a minimum of three years working experience with faith based organizations, HIV care and health for a donor-funded
organization.
The incumbents must have an experience with community-based and/or KVP-focused HIV programs. They must have a minimum of two years’ experience directly supervising/managing multidisciplinary teams of at least 10 staff, with demonstrated skills in leading teams of religious leaders or public health professionals.
In addition, they must posses strong computer skills such as MS Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint, and ability to liaise with external stakeholders and government officials.
