The IBM Systems Lab Services Consultant (SLS Consultant) is a client-facing technical resource for Systems . The SLS Consultant is, part of the IBM Systems Client Technical Team.

They have the proven expertise to help leaders plan, design and implement the essential IT infrastructure for what comes next.

Lab Services consultants’ proven expertise derives from a combination of business and extensive practical technical experience, leveraging proven tools and methodologies.

Our consultants perform IT infrastructure services for clients on site, helping them solve business challenges, gain new skills and discover best practices. Lab Services has a global presence and can deploy its consultants around the world.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with key clients and Business Partners, Systems Integrator and ISVs

Ensure technical ownership for for all technical engagements

Ensure solution deployment meets clients needs

Work with sales and technical teams across IBM to increase win chances against competition through value and differentiation

Provide deep technical skills and engage in BP transactions for the Systems brand

Promote specific platform solutions to address market opportunities with Business Partners

Lead the interlock with the technical community to secure resources to support BP opportunities and pre-sales activities (demonstration, POC, bench-marking, etc…)

Communicate IBM’s technical value proposition in all engagements

Requirements

z/OS platform skills and good understanding of infrastructure solutions

Positioning of IBM technologies and platform solutions

Communication skills

Understand IBM client and channel support structure

Negotiation skills

Certified or senior certified technical professional and product specialist

English: fluent
