IBM Senior Managing Consultant - SIOC- Consultant Jobs in South Africa



Security Intelligence & Operations Consulting position is for an experienced security professional with demonstrated consulting experience who can deliver strategic security advisory services in the Security Operations and Threat Intelligence space.


Requirements


  • Extensive working knowledge of control implementation in security architecture & infrastructure
  • Subject matter expert in one or more of the following Information Security domains:
  • Cyber Intelligence Analysis, Threat Monitoring, Incident Response, Malware Analysis, Computer Forensics, Cyber Architecture, Platform Security and Compliance & Risk Management Reporting.
  • Knowledge of the cyber threat landscape to include Advanced Persistent Threats, Cyber Crime, and Hacktivism; specifically, the tactics, techniques and procedures they apply to a cyber-threat attack
  • Knowledge and understanding of attack method types and their usage in targeted attacks such as phishing, malware implantation, perimeter vulnerabilities, application vulnerabilities, lateral movement, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to successfully accomplish client-facing interactions
  • Ability and willingness to travel (up to 50%) domestically and internationally
    NDip or BTech or Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Security or related degree
  • Approximately 5 to 8 years of experience in working in Security Environments across a variety of verticals to include Aerospace &
  • Defense, Energy, Oil and Gas, Financial, High-Tech, Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Healthcare, and/or related industries
  • Prior experience leading an assessment of evaluation of a SOC or large security enterprise to include execution of the assessment, analysis of results, and formulation of a final report for dissemination to key stakeholders
  • Prior experience working in a SOC analyst role with knowledge across Threat Monitoring, Incident Response, and Threat Intelligence
    Prior experience with Operational Technology (OT) environments to include cyber defenses across Process Control Networks (PCN), Integrated Controls Systems (ICS), and/or SCADA systems
  • Cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CREST, and/or Security+
  • Working knowledge of industry best
    practices and standards to include but not limited to the following: NIST 800-61, MITRE SOC Design
  • Demonstrable experience of strategic and tactical thinking and working in information sensitive business(es)
  • Well-grounded technical know-how in IT Security (network, OS, databases, web technologies, application development)
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to approach problems from an IT security perspective coupled with sound business know-how
  • Must be an intelligent, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the senior management team and who can communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff
  • High degree of empathy, assertiveness, and persuasiveness and potential to lead small teams
  • Fluent English – written & spoken
