The Human Resource Management Professionals Examinations Board (HRMPEB) is a statutory Examinations body established under Sec. 16 of the Human Resource Management Professionals Act, No. 52 of 2012.
The Examinations Board is mandated to prepare syllabuses for Human Resource Management Professionals Examinations; make rules with
respect to the examinations; issue certificates to candidates who have satisfied the Board’s examination requirements; and promote the recognition of its examinations locally and internationally.
HRMPEB is seeking to hire a highly competent and qualified person in the above position and will be charged with the following duties and responsibilities:
Job Description
Providing strategic leadership to the ICT Section;
Formulating and implementing ICT policies,
strategies and programs
Advising management on standards, procedures,
and overall ICT performance in the board;
Management of the board’s Information Technology
resources;
Carrying out hands-on infrastructural, applications and user support on ICT systems;
Implementation of an organization-wide
compliance to ICT professional standards, protocols
and procedures;
Implementation and enforcement of Information,
and Information Systems security protocols, procedures and process;
Ensuring optimal utilization of available ICT
resources across the organization;
Coordinating Development, optimization, and
administration of corporate and operational
Information Systems at the board;
Facilitating ICT skills development and capacity
building on staff and clients of the board;
Preparing timely ICT work plans, budgets, and
reports;
Spearheading ICT innovation and sustainability
across the boards operations;
Management of the Board’s e-Examination
resources.
Job Specifications
The person should have the following qualifications:
Have served in the grade of Information
Communication
Technology Officer for a minimum
period of three (3) years;
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR
Information Technology (IT) or its equivalent from a
recognized Institution;
Have at least three (3) years of demonstrable
experience and expertise in development, implementation, administration and management
of e-Learning apparatus preferably in a training/
examination organization;
Professional certification in any of the following: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), CISCO, Certified Network Associate (CCNA),
Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or
their equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experience in managing cloud-based/virtualized
server environments and server Operating systems
and applications;
Have demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Working experience with ERPs, e-learning and
e-Examinations systems
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the
constitution
