Job Specifications

Duties and responsibilities at this level entail

Implementing policies, standards and procedures for administering examinations;

Ensuring candidates applications are processed, assess candidates’ eligibility, process examination fees and produce acknowledgement letters;

Processing exemption requests and making recommendations;

Receiving and examining exemptions and appeal applications and credentials for new and continuing students to ascertain their eligibility;

Preparing and circulating examination timetables;

Checking and finalizing candidates lists for examination sitting;

Ensuring data and information is accurately entered and protected in the Examinations Management System;

Coordinating marking of examinations and preparing detailed reports;

Analyzing exam results and making recommendations;

Experience in managing online examinations;

Processing candidates’ marks for all examinations;

Managing student registration process; and

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

Served in the grade of Examination Administration Officer for a minimum period of four (4) years or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector for a minimum period of six (6) years;

Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Post graduate Diploma in Human Resource management;

Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) is an added advantage;

Proficiency in computer applications;

Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and

Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
