Channel Director- East and Southern Africa Channels Jobs at M-NET

M-Net seeks to appoint a dynamic and innovative individual who has extensive broadcasting experience to assume the position of Channel Director: East and Southern African Channels for M-Net. The position reports to the CEO of M-Net and will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Channel Director Job Key Duties

Develop and implement channel strategies to support MultiChoice Africa Limited’s (MAL’s) regional and platform strategies

Develop and drive a local content strategy for M-Net channels in the East and Southern African channel portfolio

Managing the licensing and commissioning of content, and ensuring company policies and corporate governance guidelines re content acquisitions are applied

Contracting and contract management

Budgeting and budget control

Managing channel branding, marketing, publicity and social media activities in partnership with MultiChoice Africa’s Marketing Division

Drive commercial sales and revenue growth per channel per region in

partnership with DStv Media Sales

Oversee channel operations

Manage stakeholder relationships for collaborative achievement of objectives

Lead and effectively manage a multicultural team in a matrix environment and across geographical locations

Qualifications for the Channel Director Job

Extensive knowledge and experience of television programming

Excellent knowledge of local Pay TV industries & Pay TV operations in the regions

Extensive knowledge and experience in the local TV industries

Strong financial background and financial management experience

General management experience

Project, product, services & market feasibility analysis skills

Economic and Market research experience

Strategic planning and consulting experience

Minimum Academic Qualification:

Post- graduate degree in a related field
