I am an environmental educator on volunteer basis to an organisation based on Guwahati,Assam of India.

I have an Msc in Zoology with special reference to Ecology and Wildlife Biology.

Till now I have a good experience working in various project and have devoloped my strength in Commnity conservation,conduction of awareness programme with students,writing etc.

Now I intend to pursue my doctorate degree on foraging ecology of Greater Adjutant stork (Leptoptilos dubius),a globally endangered bird. 75% of this bird has been reported from Guwahati city of Assam. Conservation awareness programme for this bird is very important as this bird is under high degree of extinction.

This bird is found only in Assam of India and Combodia.Habitat assessment and foraging ecology of this is important for record and to save this bird from extintion.Assam Government has declared a project to generate energy out of major garbage dump from Guwahti city within one or two year.It is studied that concentration of this bird in Guwahati is due to this major garbage dump.So once the project is started distribution and foraging ecology of this bird will be effected and this bird will be criticall endangered.So before this if the said plan study could be done it would be very advantageous task for the species.
