  • Our client is a Group Holding Company who seeks to recruit a qualified Sales and Marketing Executive who will be responsible for overseeing and implementing all sales and marketing activities in his/her specific area of responsibility.

  • Under the general guidance and direction of the Operations Director or his/her delegate and within the limits of the established Private Collection policies and procedures.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administer the company marketing and sales function to identify and develop new opportunities within existing and new customers for products and services

  • Attends major travel functions (i.e trade shows, associations) that deal specifically with his/her marketing segment.

  • Manage and execute the preparation, issuance, and delivery of marketing materials including: websites, sales collateral, graphics, exhibit properties, advertising, and promotional programs.

  • Establishes and maintains files on major active accounts within his/her marketing segment as part of the CRM.

  • Promotes and produces sales leads for hospitality properties within the group.

  • Plan sales trips under the direct approval of the Director of Operations to major marketing areas, calling on accounts within their specific marketing area. Reports to the Director of Operations on potential markets needing coverage.

  • Provides feedback to the Director of Operations on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone and direct mail in his/her market areas. Arranges FAM/Site inspection trips to the hospitality outlets by major clients and occasionally accompanies clients.

  • Manage, and operate within approved marketing budgets supporting overall business plan.

  • Disseminates sales related information to other departments as appropriate through the Director of Operations.

  • Maintains a high level of knowledge about all the
    hospitality properties.

  • Manage and execute the brand image of the company.

  • Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.

  • Performs related duties and special projects as assigned that are specific to the Geographical area.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned
    Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field

  • Diploma or Post Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a marketing and or sales / marketing capacity either in a Marketing Company or a Tour Operator

  • Must have worked in Marketing and Sales in a Hospitality or Tourism Field, preferably for a Hotel and carried out Sales in Nairobi*.

  • Good innovative, and interpersonal skills. Above average personal, communication and business skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and management systems

  • Ability to create and write copy for marketing materials

  • Ability to coordinate and manage design of marketing materials

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and meet and/or travel to Agents and Companies and or institutions
