Job Description

Hope for Korah (HFK) is an International non-profit organization (NGO) which is founded in 2019 as charity with registration number 4462 and operating at Korah in Addis Ababa/Ethiopia.

The objective of the organization is to empower the targeted community through psychosocial support, physical, health, economic and educational service. Currently, the organization serves over 300 children of all ages whose families live in difficult living condition in “Kore” area and the Education and Youth Empowerment program aims to empower the children and youth in the program to achieve their best academically, socially and in their personal life.

Major Responsibilities

Provide support and act as role models to young people.

Being mentors, enforcing rules and modeling positive behaviors.

Understand and assess the situation of capabilities and problem of youth and children.

Engage with, motivate, counsel and mentor young people and Children.

Communicate with schools, compile, assess and track student education result and growth.

Work with staff and coordinate tutorial program to enhance the student educational performance.

Organize and execute various youth program and sport activities.

Monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of the education program and consults individuals and their families.

Conducting and delivering trainings to raise the awareness of the student related to their soft skill and education.

Handling essential activities in the education and youth empowerment program.

Planning the HFK education

and youth empowerment program.

Develop follow up plan for student and organize progress report.

Related Duties/Tasks

Work with passion, strong dedication and high commitment in work for the improvement of youth living.

Help young people to explore and understand their ideas, values and beliefs, building their confidence and life skills.

Prepares and submits periodic reports as required.

Performs other duties as required.

Employment Type: One year contracts with possibility of extension

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

BA in social work, education, sociology, project management and related field.

Experience

Three years of relevant work experience

Skills, Attitudes and Attributes

Good Communication and Interpersonal skills

Ability to make logical and timely decisions
Counseling skill
