Job DescriptionEssential Functions:
The Information Technology Manager is responsible for all duties of the Information Systems operations.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear directions to team members.
Hire, train, supervise, schedule and participate in activities in the department. Ensure compliance with Hilton Worldwide Brand Standards.
Conduct regular audit of cost levels, including review of suppliers of services, articles, and objects related to the department.
This position requires strong attention to detail, quality, leadership skills and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, suppliers and team members.
Supportive Functions:
In addition to performance of the essential functions, the Information Technology Manager may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions solely determined by the Director of Operations based upon the requirements of the hotel.
Assist Director of Operations and peers with necessary information and analysis as per the operation needs and requests.
Oversee overall ISM operations in the hotel ensuring that a high level of service is maintained throughout the property.
Make sure the departments team members maintain a professional appearance at all times and conduct them-selves in a courteous manner.
Customer:
Use positive and clear language. Listen to and understand requests, issues and situations raised by hotel guests.
Ensure that all guest requests are replied to in a promptly manner.
Urgency of response towards internal and external customer needs.
To be able to understand the needs and requirements of the customer as quick and as accurate as possible and deliver the same.
Be aware of the policies of the department and how these impact the guests.
Develop relationships with local as well as in house guests.
Quality:
Ensure professional and timely execution of all working tasks. Oversee administrative functions including proper distribution of internal and external mail, independent correspondent and up-to-date registry system. Secure compliance with Hilton Brand Standards and local law. Attend required meetings.
Conduct routine inspections and diagnoses of systems and hardware.
Supervise measures which serve the health and safety of personnel and guests.
Ensure installations are in good condition. Secure an appropriate standard for clothing, hygiene, uniform, conduct and management of the personnel.
Ensure efficient and smooth working sequences, in order to keep team members satisfied and secure that quality standards are achieved.
Comply and submit all reports in timely manner. Attend and record all project updates.
People:
Maintain a positive and friendly working environment. Monitor and review team member performance through scheduled performance reviews.
Develop productive working relationships across the hotel and on the owner side. Review own level of skill and actively identify further personal development requirements.
Assist in special projects and other tasks as required by Director of Operations.
Set departmental objectives, policies, procedures by establishing team work and team spirit and emphasizing on the importance of training for all team members.
Hold regular departmental meetings. Coordinate the departmental skills training programme and follow up on the action plans prepared for the team members.
Check and monitor the external appearance and conduct of team members and intervene with corrective measures if necessary.
Job Requirements
BSC/MSC Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science with demonstrated experience of Five years out of which two years on managerial position.
Experience and knowledge with large ISM systems and logistical challenges related to these.
Excellent Knowledge and experience with LAN/WAN environment and architecture.
Excellent TCP/IP knowledge, extensive knowledge of system integration.
Certification in Various IT streams. Certification in CCNA/CCNP is Mandatory
Excellent project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well with people who possess varying technical abilities.
Familiarity with software applications,
Knowledge of the service industry is advantageous
