Purpose of the JobTo support the smooth and secure functioning of the Bank’s operations through proper designing and implementation of key technologies.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Implement and execute the business continuity operation as per the standards and guidelines of business continuity management.
Review, develop and implement standards and guidelines of business continuity management and monitor their implementation.
Review information technology network equipment utilization to check for optimal performance.
Develop required network policies and procedures.
Review network infrastructure to ensure that it is in line with current best practises and development in Information technology networking and propose possible implementation.
Monitor data on the network to ensure that it is secured, properly managed as per the bank’s policy.
Provide technical advice on network equipment selection, evaluation and installation.
Formulate and continuously review network operation procedures and techniques to ensure improved performance.
Monitor establishment of network specifications by understanding the requirements through workflow analysis, security and information assessment.
Evaluate network equipment and service requests and contribute to the preparation of the cost analysis that show all alternative methods of solution in terms of operating costs, development costs, intangible advantage and disadvantages as well as time implementation schedules.
Guide the Implementation of networks by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.
Monitor the effective execution of IT network infrastructure security programs.
Lead the installation and configuration of network systems and protocols (DNS, DHCP, Active directory) and Network management and security systems (IDS, IPS, VPN).
Lead the installation, configuration and maintenance of enterprise anti-virus and anti-malware solution in accordance with the Bank’s policy and procedure.
Follow-up the development, implementation and
maintenance of Internet, intranet and extranet sites.
Follow-up the maintenance of up to date documentation of network software, configuration details & baselines and operational procedures.
Follow-up the required network optimization and troubleshooting issues are addressed in timely manner.
Upgrade network by developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and patches.
Generic Duties of the Position:
Develop and implement the Division’s plans and objectives.
Develop, approve and monitor the Division’s budgets.
Identify human resources requirements of the Division and develop plan for meeting the requirements.
Develop, implement and review relevant divisional policies and procedures.
Review, approve and submit Divisional reports to relevant organs.
Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.
Manage disciplinary concerns of the Division’s staff.
Represent the Division in internal and external relationships.
Participate in group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience:
Education
Manager
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields
Senior Manager
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields
Experience
Manager
Six (6) years and eight (8) years of relevant experience for Masters and Bachelor Of which (3) and (4) years of experience in supervisory positions
Senior Manger
Eight (8) years for Masters and ten (10) years for Bachelor of relevant experience Of which (4) and (5) years of experience in supervisory positions
Professional Qualification
IFB Certification is Advantageous
