Hijra Bank Manager, IT Project and Development Jobs in Ethiopia
Purpose of the JobTo support efficient operations of the bank and meet the business demand by coordinating application acquisition and/or in-house development and implementation of application development, customization and/or modification.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Guide and monitor the various deliverables of system development processes in alignment to the set standards.
Guide and monitor the implementation of information system policies and procedures.
Review project proposals in terms of feasibility and stakeholder requirement alignment.
Conducts evaluation of completed application development projects for timely completion, compatibility with other existing applications, and effectiveness in meeting requirements.
Review test cases to ensure that they are prepared and documented for the developed/customized systems and they are tested in a test environment as per the set standards.
Guide in the customization of commercially available software to meet the bank’s operational needs is made per the set standards.
Review the assessment of stakeholders’ demand in relation with system development and customization per the set standards.
Guide and conduct training and implementation of new products and improvements per the set standards.
Handle proper change and release management procedures are followed in deploying developed/customized systems to production as per set standards.
Follow up the building of knowledge base from the experiences of running various application development projects.
Generic Duties of the Position:
Develop and implement
the Division’s plans and objectives.
Develop, approve and monitor the Division’s budgets.
Identify human resources requirements of the Division and develop plan for meeting the requirements.
Develop, implement and review relevant divisional policies and procedures.
Review, approve and submit Divisional reports to relevant organs.
Support the development of subordinates through periodic performance evaluations, coaching, mentoring, ongoing performance dialogue and feedback.
Manage disciplinary concerns of the Division’s staff.
Represent the Division in internal and external relationships.
Participate in group decision making process by forming part of different groups/committees.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
Education
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields or related fields
Senior Manager
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields or related fields
Experience
Six (6) years and eight (8) years of relevant experience for Masters and Bachelor Of which (3) and (4) years of experience in supervisory positions
Senior Manager
Eight (8) years for Masters and ten (10) years for Bachelor of relevant experience Of which (4) and (5) years of experience in supervisory positions
Professional Qualification
IFB Certification is Advantageous
