Highlands Plants Agronomist /Production Manager Jobs in Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities

To be in charge of health and well being of all crops - 'crop doctor;To provide leadership and expertise in agronomy service programs for each customer

Insects, weed and disease monitoring/ diagnostics and solving challenges related to the same

In charge of all MRL's control and spray programmes, field reports and permanent records.

Liaise with external bodies and authorities in matters relating to agronomy e.g. PCBP, KERB

In charge of all laboratory tests, interpret them and advice on their outcomes

Desired Credentials

Over 5 yrs experience as an agronomist in a commercial farm specializing in food production

Hold a Bachelors degree or Higher Diploma in Agriculture from a reputable institution

Should be above the age of 30 yrs

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule the propagation and rooting house team to meet production demands

In charge of all growing and cultural techniques to support continuous improvement of quality plant material

Responsible for growing activities in an assigned section of the greenhouse; including irrigation, pest control; and monitoring and maintaining climate as directed.

Qualifications

Degree /higher diploma in Horticulture or General Agriculture

Minimum of

3 years experience In propagation of cuttings (Ornamentals and bedding plants )

Should be above 30 Years.

Participate in quality and productivity improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Degree/higher diploma in Horticulture or General Agriculture

Minimum of 3years experience in propagation of cutting [ornamental and bedding plants)

Experience in bed and balcony growing.

Should be above 30 Years.
