Principal Accountabilities

• Undertaking effectively the monitoring of system controls in order to enhance adherence to financial regulations and procedures;

• Undertaking periodically the conduct of Special Audits in order to promote effectiveness in the delivery of services;

• Undertaking effectively audit assignments in order to ensure adherence to internal controls in the use of public resources;

• Undertaking timely preparation of internal audit reports in order to facilitate informed decision making;

• Undertaking regularly, the maintenance and updating of the Audit Database in order to facilitate storage, retrieval and processing of information;

• Undertaking timely development of work plans and implementation of the performance management in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate;

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Accountancy, CIMA, ACCA or its equivalent;

• Minimum relevant pre-job experience of 5 years 3 of which should be at supervisory level; and

• Must be a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Skills and Attributes

• Able to write technical reports ;

• Able to communicate fluently in English; and

• Other Skills/Attributes: Tact and Diplomacy, Analytical and Interpersonal skills and Computer literate.
