Principal Accountabilities

• Preparation of the annual budget in order to mobilise financial resources for the Board;

• Supervising the effective implementation of the HELSB budget in order to ensure expenditure is within the approved budget and financial regulations;

• Supervising the effective collection of revenue in order to safeguard public funds;

• Supervising the timely preparation of the monthly payroll in order to meet conditions of service;

• Supervising the timely preparation of Management Reports in order to facilitate informed decision making;

• Supervising the periodic maintenance of the Asset Register in order to safeguard public assets;

• Supervising and coordinating the timely development of work plans and performance appraisal in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance; and

• Supervising effectively, staff and other resources of the department in order to facilitate the attainment of the departmental objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate;

• Full ACCA/CIMA or Chartered Accountancy or its equivalent;

• Minimum relevant pre-job experience of 5 years 3 of which should be at supervisory level; and

• Must be a Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Skills and Attributes

• Enhanced Technical Report Writing;

• Ability to communicate effectively in English; and

• Other Skills/Attributes: Interpersonal, Managerial, Analytical skill and Computer Literate.
