High Commission of Canada Trade Commissioner Jobs in Kenya


Responsibilities

  • Developing, planning and implementing IBD program objectives, including managing budgets, tracking and reporting of results, planning and delivering regional events, supporting official visits, and identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement;
  • Building a network of diverse local contacts supporting program objectives;
  • Providing outstanding services to Canadian clients; and
  • Conducting in depth research from a wide range of sources to analyze trends and propose short and long term strategies.

    Qualifications

  • Candidates must clearly demonstrate on their application that they meet all the essential qualifications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university or an acceptable combination of education, training and work experience related to the duties and specific areas of competence required by the position, including but not limited to business, economics, finance, engineering and/or science.
  • Fluency in English - comprehension, oral and written.
    Experience:
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience working in business development or program management or consultant capacity in the private and/or public sector, including at least (3) years of recent* experience related to clean technologies;
  • Experience conducting research and analysis and providing strategic advice, briefings and written reports to senior management and/or clients on business issues;
  • Experience in project management (including strategic planning, tracking/reporting results and budget management); and
  • Experience in managing client and stakeholder relationships and in providing client service support to customers/clients.
    *Recent is defined as within the past 5 years
