Position Summary:
To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and tidy environment for the safehouse by ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the premises.
Essential Functions:Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards.
Be responsible for the efficient and orderly management of cleaning and request for servicing and repair for broken items
Notify the supervisor of any damages, deficits, and disturbances.
Deal with complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
Check stocking levels of all cleaning items and request for replenishment when appropriate.
Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices.
Check and ensure that all rooms, common areas, and back-of-the-house areas are clean and well-maintained.
Assist in the general cleanliness of the offices, kitchen, and washrooms.
Operate mechanized cleaning equipment
Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition.
Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
Ensuring the availability of cleaning supplies in all sanitary places
Use cleaning materials and consumables economically.
Disinfect drains and dustbins regularly.
Empty general waste refuse bins and make sure all refuse is disposed off.
promptly and using proper disposal methods.
Other duties, as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum of secondary school education
Certificate in housekeeping
Experience as a housekeeper for not less than two years
knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
Outstanding customer service skills
Proven ability to work effectively individually and with a team
Ability to work with people from different cultural settings.
Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of Accountability to Affected Population.
Knowledge in PSEA and Anti-Fraud.
