Health Strat is a leading Kenyan, public health organization that designs and delivers impactful 360° health system strengthening solutions that are applicable to low and middle-income countries.
Job Purpose:
Supports the development of specific clinical quality monitoring tools and implementation
of quality improvement programs for our clients through a continuous clinical quality
improvement system.
The holder of the position will be expected to work with health providers, collecting and analyzing data related to the quality and quantity of services provided and the effectiveness of those services in meeting clients’ needs and facilitates
implementation of improvement activities.
Primary Responsibilities
Design tools for performance improvement for medical and social services.
Collect and tabulate data on quality indicators
Prepare reports on quality improvement activities
Support service providers to develop and implement programs to evaluate the quality
and effectiveness of services and to implement improvements
Participate in development of service standards, outcome measures and benchmarks
for services
Facilitate and/or participate in performance improvement teams at the National and local level
Developing protocols for ensuring compliance with practice guidelines and regulations
Review of research and program evaluation proposals and protocols for appropriateness of study design and statistical analysis plan
Engage in dissemination practices including scientific writing of processes in health
care
Requirements
General
Knowledge and application of statistics and analysis methods
Knowledge of medical and social support services
Ability
to work with diverse provider groups
Knowledge of performance improvement methods
Teaching ability/experience
Mentoring multi-disciplinary team’s experience
Project management experience
Academic qualifications
Degree in Medicine or Statistics and Epidemiology or any other health-related field
Desired Experience
5 years’ experience in a similar position is desirable.
Experience in developing, implementing,
evaluating and overseeing of projects, mentoring multi-disciplinary teams, developing and
providing trainings to healthcare professionals
Desired Skills
Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral, writing and skills.
Expertise to develop computer software applications will be an added advantage.
