Health Service Commission - Principal Psychiatric Clinical Officer Gulu Regional Referral Jobs in Uganda



Qualification

  • Diploma in Management

  • Diploma in Administration

  • Diploma in Health Service Management

    Experience

  • At least six (6) years, three (3) of which should be at the level of Senior Psychiatric Clinical Officer.

    Key Competences required for the post

  • Good communication, interpersonal and team building skills

  • Any Other Requirements: Good communication, interpersonal and team building skills.

    Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas

  • Initiate and participate in research activities.

  • Impart knowledge and skills to students and staff.

  • Manage and account for allocated resources.

  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Diagnose, treat and manage patients with mental illnesses

  • Ensure maximum protection of patients, relatives and staff.

  • Participate in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluating Psychiatric activities

  • Promote observance of the professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics by staff under him or her.

  • Compile and submit reports.

  • Refer complicated cases to Psychiatrist.

  • Carry out community sensitization about mental health.

  • Supervise and appraise staff.
