Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.

    Key Competences required for the post

  • Should have good communication, interpersonal and team building skills.

    Key Duties of the Post/Key Results Areas

  • Liaise with ward managers in the preparation of patients for laboratory tests.

  • Manage and account for allocated resources.

  • Adhere to the Professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics.

  • Participate in quality assurance for laboratories

  • Follow safety measures against hazards

  • Compile and submit periodic reports

  • Collect, handle and transport specimens to the Laboratory.

  • Prepare standards and reagents according to established procedures.

  • Carry out laboratory investigations and submit reports to Clinicians.

  • Requisition necessary supplies for laboratory work.

  • Service laboratory equipment and maintain an inventory.

  • Participate in research activities.
