Health Access Connect Monitoring & Evaluation Intern Jobs in Uganda

Summary

The Monitoring & Evaluation Intern will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and distributing data from patient surveys, outreach clinic reporting, and other data sources to be utilized to understand and improve our projects.

They will also comparatively analyze internally collected health service data with data from Ugandan national sources.

This is a remote internship in which you will be collaborating with a multinational team working from the USA and Uganda.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Data Collection

Working to improve data collection tools used in the health facilities and communities where we operate

Exporting data from external sources (i.e. Ministry of Health) in order to conduct

comparative analysis between organizational and national data

Working to improve data reporting methods to optimize data quality and validity

Analysis

Creating dashboards in Google Data Studio with data visualizations

Creating data visualisations for purposes such as: public distribution, internal use, grants, communications

Analyzing data to make propositions on next steps and solutions to challenges

Working to improve methods of analysis and distribution of information

Qualifications Required

Sophomore, Junior, or Senior active student
Quantitative/Qualitative research skills

Strong writing and analytical skills

Computer skills: social media (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, email)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others

Prefferred

Experience with Wordpress and Salesforce

Experience with data visualization tools (Google Datastudio)

Basic knowledge of statistics

Interest in public health, healthcare in rural communities, non-profits, or international studies
