Job Advert: Head of Sacco
Banking Sector
The Head of Sacco is charged with overall responsibility of running the Banks Sacco and Institutional banking business.
Working closely with the Banks General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and visionary leadership with full operational responsibility in the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic business plans agreed by the board.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the formulation and implementation of the Sacco strategy.
Develop the marketing and sales strategies of the Sacco and IB banking Department with a focus on growing the business volumes, customer base and income.
Spearhead the development of products and services for the Department.
Manage and maintain existing customer relationships as well as develop new relationships.
Proactively manage the risk management framework for the division.
Liaise with Asset Management to ensure a good deposit mix so as to achieve maximum yields on the fund.
Develop and implement a focused efficient and effective customer service frameworks which will increase the flow of business from existing customers and generate business from new customers.
Organize, manage and motivate the available human capital within the Sacco and IB banking department through the establishment of suitable organization structure and implementing development programs to optimize competence and productivity.
Build and maintain client relations by attending to
inquiries, resolving queries and providing relevant information.
Qualifications & Desired Qualities
Bachelor degree in business or Finance
At least seven (7) years practical experience in a busy deposit taking Sacco 5 years of these being in a senior management position.
Knowledge of the regulatory framework of the Co-operative Sector.
Strategic management, leadership, good analytical and reporting skills, high integrity and honesty
Broad knowledge of industry and operations
Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
Innovative and ability to work independently.
Strong communication and report writing skills.
Self-driven, self-starter, team player and results-oriented.
Sound ICT Skills.
Leadership skill
