Our client is a leading developer and project manager across East Africa. They are seeking to recruit a motivated and self-driven professional to fill in the following position:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Human Resources is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Human Resources Function by focusing on talent management, reward management, culture transformation and organization effectiveness.

Head of Human Resources Job Responsibilities
Developing and executing the Human Resource strategy in line with the Company strategic thrusts, including talent attraction and retention

Facilitate execution and delivery of the business strategies by acting as the linkage between the business strategy and its execution.

Overseeing the implementation of the Performance Management System by developing a performance driven culture which also ensures employee growth through empowerment
Ensuring compliance with all the necessary regulations and legislations in the various jurisdictions where the company operates
Developing and monitoring adherence to human resource policies and procedures
Proposing and overseeing human resource budget and headcount

Ensure the Talent that is recruited have competencies and behaviors which are aligned to the organization culture and brand promise.
Formulating reward and recognition strategy that fosters a performance driven culture
Implementing the compensation strategy, covering salaries, bonuses, pensions, medical insurance and other staff benefits
Spearhead culture change and transformation and promote a high performance culture across the Organization

Focus on developing managers and employees to foster

a collaborative culture.
Ability to create interventions which knits together the organization towards one core focus area – delivering value to customers (internal and external).
Empower employees at front line to deliver a step more than what’s needed by the customer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Social Sciences, a Master’s degree is an added advantage
  • Post – graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management
  • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in human resources management
  • Proven experience in organization culture transformation
  • Must have a focus on employee productivity and driving performance across levels in the organization.
  • Knowledge on performance management systems and models and how they are deployed
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and the role of HR in driving organization culture, performance and productivity.
  • Experience in managing a high growth company.
