About the Role
The role holder will be responsible for tracking cash flow and payments to vendors and suppliers. They play a critical role in a company’s financial, administrative, and clerical functions, and their work helps a company meet profitability goals.

Responsibilities

Manage the accurate and timely booking of invoices, credit notes and supplier payments.

Perform monthly reconciliation of the supplier accounts, document any reconciling differences and ensure resolution within 30days

Timely preparation of supplier’s payments as per the payment plans

Process all relevant tax returns and statutory payments accurately and on time

Management and monthly reconciliation of VAT 3 including follow-ups on pending VAT claims

Ensure proper accounting and

recording of accounts payable transactions in the general ledger, in accordance with the accounting standards.

Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts monthly

Prepare monthly accounts payable (AP) reports

Implement and maintain proper controls within the accounts payable function to safeguard company resources

Maintain effective communication and a positive relationship with the suppliers

Facilitate annual audits related to the accounts payable function

Qualifications and Experience

Business related undergraduate degree.

Accounting qualification, CPA Finalist

Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite, particularly Excel.

Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Strong time management skills

Knowledge of accounting standards and taxation regulations

At least 3-year professional experience in a similar position
