Dear Sir/Madam

We are a Christian evangelistic ministry organisation called SportsReach. The emphasis of our work is to use sport, especially soccer and netball, to build friendships with people and lead them to find faith in Jesus Christ.

I am writing to ask if you would consider financially supporting us please as a charitable organisation.

This year, we need footballs (£2600), netballs (£2675), to renew 6 of our football goals (£840), T-shirts for the youngsters(£1500) Overseas missions/trips:- Men’s football kit (£400), Literature used overseas (£500)
Literature:- Bibles (£1,000), Daily bible notes (£400), Bible booklets used at soccer schools (£800)
Office:- Staff salaries (£65,000 for four employees) plus training.

Would you be willing to support us by contributing to these needs please? Would you be willing to provide financially on a monthly basis to the work. There is a desperate need for people to be told about Jesus and the salvation he brings. Please help us in this work.

We have seen people touched by Jesus and give their lives to Him. The highlight for me last year was a 12 year old boy slowly raising his hand in tears, convicted by the Holy Spirit, giving his life to Jesus.

The work of SportsReach serves four main areas:-


Soccer and Netball Schools
We run Soccer and Netball Schools in partnership with local churches. We provide quality coaching, fun-filled activities and a clear presentation of the Gospel.

Parents and the wider family are also encouraged to be involved. Churches are being filled for the final ‘Awards Service’ on Sunday mornings.


International Evangelistic Missions
We take teams of Christian football and netball players to play local teams and sometimes run soccer and netball schools in an area overseas.

Working with local Christians we help build strong friendships that bridge cultural barriers; football especially is a powerful evangelistic tool for sharing the reality of the Gospel to young men and women that may never hear the Gospel anywhere else.


SportsReach Christian League
We have a Christian Football League for adult players every Saturday throughout the winter months. A short epilogue or testimony is given before each game with the aim of showing the relevance of the Christian faith to young men in the community.

Women’s Ministry
We are reaching many ladies with the Gospel through the sport of netball. A netball league and a cup competition, again in partnership with local churches, are showing the reality and relevance of the Gospel to women.

We wish to expand the work so that we can give the message of the Gospel to more children and their families. Each year we receive requests for more soccer schools from different areas as well as continuing our work with existing relationships. We would like to employ another person to help co-ordinate this.
