Gothe-Institut Outside Cairo Cultural Journalism Program for Egyptian Journalists

Outside Cairo is a project of the Gothe-Institut Cairo. Artists and people who work in cultural fields in the provinces in Egypt are supported through various programs. In Egypt, cultural life is heavily concentrated in Cairo. This project aims to focus more on the provinces and strengthen cultural initiatives outside Cairo.

This year, the Goethe-Institut Cairo launches the Cultural Journalism Program in the provinces of Egypt to enhance the visibility of cultural events through more extensive coverage. Participants expand their knowledge in the field of cultural journalism while participating in workshops on topics such as journalistic skills and ethics, multimedia articles, photo and video journalism, and review and analysis of artistic works. Additionally, a press trip through Egypt takes place and the program is accompanied by experienced mentors.

Participants from outside Cairo will receive a limited transportation allowance for public transportation as well as accommodation in a hotel during the duration of the 4 workshops in Cairo.

An organized press trip to different cultural activities in Egypt including a limited transportation allowance for public transportation and accommodation in a hotel during the trip.
