GIZ HR Intern - Trainee Jobs in Uganda
BackgroundThe Deutsche Gesellschaft fϋr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany with International operations in Uganda, GIZ Implements commissions for the German government and other national and international, public and private sector clients within the framework of the international Cooperation between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
▪ Assisting with scheduling and logistics of interviews including sending invites to shortlisted candidates, organising interview venue(s)
▪ Assisting in preparing candidates for interviews by providing detailed information on the location, and any other important information about the interview.
▪ Follow up reference checks
▪ Assisting in notifying unsuccessful applicants.
▪ Filing HR documents
▪ Takes minutes of the HR meetings.
▪ Photocopying and scanning documents as requested.
▪ Performs other duties and tasks at the request of Head of Department, Human Resources
Duration of Assignment
The assignment is expected to be completed within 3 months calendar days upon signing of the contract.
Reporting
For purposes of this assignment, the Intern/Trainee will report to the Head of Human Resources.
Required qualifications, competences and experience
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management or Business Administration (With a focus on HR Management) or comparable degree.
Experience
• Successfully completed Internship program in at least 1 organisation.
Knowledge and Additional Competences
• Good working
knowledge of ICT (related software, phone, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office).
• Basic knowledge of national labour and social law.
• Basic knowledge of HR Management, initial work experience desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and fluent in written and spoken English language.
• Strictly confidential handling of all HR issues.
