Job Summary:

GIBB requires a Project Planner to plan and schedule project activities, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities

Developing project plans and schedules, taking into consideration project scope, objectives, and constraints.

Identifying and defining project tasks, dependencies, and resource requirements.

Estimating project timelines and resource requirements and developing project budgets.

Developing project reports and status updates and presenting them to project stakeholders and management.

Monitoring project progress and identifying potential issues or risks, and taking corrective action as required.

Coordinating with project teams to ensure that project schedules and plans are being followed, and that project deliverables are on track.

Updating project schedules and plans as required to reflect changes in project scope, objectives, or constraints.

Identifying opportunities to improve project efficiency and effectiveness, and making recommendations for process improvements.

Participating in project team meetings and providing guidance and support on project planning and scheduling.

Ensuring compliance with project management standards and best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

Degree or BTech (Civil, Elec, Mech, QS, Commerce). Must provide Certificate with transcript

A relevant degree or certification in project management, engineering, or a related field is required.

Registered with ECSA/SACPQSP as a Professional is advantageous. Must provide Certificate with registration number

Registered with PMI advantageous.

Matric. Must provide Certificate with results

Experience within the Built Environment

5 – 10 years’ Project Planner experience

Core Competencies/Requirements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Must be able to work independently.

Have knowledge of project management principles, such as scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.

Must be able to guide and lead supporting staff.

Proficiency in project management software and tools is also required.

Must have MS Office experience.
