Role Overview

  • The Knowledge Management Officer will work with the violence against women (VAW) Prevention Team at Raising Voices to support all aspects of knowledge and data management.

  • The goal of the position is to support staff in utilizing Raising Voices’ substantial knowledge assets to strengthen programming and to achieve organisational objectives by making the best use of knowledge.

  • The officer will ensure staff draw on institutional experience by promoting efficient archiving and exchange of information between different departments within the VAW Prevention Team.

  • The officer will also support synthesis of data collected on online platforms.

    Responsibilities

  • Strengthen and operationalize policies and procedures for effective data management


  • Establish and maintain processes to ensure
  • knowledge management efforts are shaping strategy and informing decision-making

  • Ensure digital databases and archives are well maintained and accessible for internal use

  • Support the staff and partners to share
  • knowledge effectively and efficiently through Office 365

  • Synthesize information from online learning platforms such as Moodle and Google analytics
    Support VAW prevention team to organize, package, utilize, and disseminate relevant information to inform programme design and implementation for external audiences

    Skills and Experience

  • Experience managing information and knowledge systems, such as Microsoft 365’s One Drive*

  • Experience identifying and analyzing
  • knowledge management problems, and proposing
    and implementing knowledge management strategies*

  • Experience creating and exporting data reports in a database*

  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to ensure internal and external stakeholders meet deadlines and successfully implement projects*

  • Experience working on violence against women from a feminist perspective

  • Experience with Moodle, Google analytics, or other learning management system

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, evidenced by experience with public speaking (e.g. presentations, trainings, or workshops), as well as drafting documents (e.g. reports or summaries) for a wide range of audiences (technical, programmatic, policy makers, etc.)

  • Experience leading knowledge product development and dissemination

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Interest in working with a feminist team

  • Experience problem solving in collaboration with program staff
