Purpose of the Job

To maximize efficient utilization of the GIG’s properties by controlling GIG’s property and inventory usage trends.

Periodic inventory Control

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Develop the inventory management strategy of the GIG with the goal to control costs with budgets.

Maintain and Manage inventory of materials.

Ensure that the inward goods and stock is properly controlled and organized for the achievement of the GIG’s Mission 2016.

Perform regular cycle counts of inventory materials and assists in conducting yearly physical inventory counts.

Ensure inward goods are received and managed according to GIG’s standard procedure, so materials will be readily available for sector’s needs.

Evaluate and Monitor usage and cost of all GIG’s asset.

Create and maintain accurate written procedures for the primary inventory control functions and processes.

Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the stock management system implemented.

Prepare daily reports to control the key critical areas of the stock system and address any discrepancy.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

Master’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management or related fields with three (3) years of demonstrated experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Management or related fields with six (6) years of demonstrated experience
