Job Duties / Responsibilities

Perform monthly sales and general ledger closings, including journal entries.

Preparation of various balance sheet schedules and P&L statements.

Preparation of various tax reports.

Reconcile various general ledger accounts monthly.

Preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.

Prepare annual depreciation and depletion tax schedules.

Perform general accounting functions and other related duties.

Direct involvement with month-end close procedures including preparing account reconciliations, journal entries and other supporting/tracking schedules.

Verify and ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

Assist in performing cash management functions such as the monitoring and recording of cash transactions, making deposits, preparation of wire transfers and bank account reconciliations.

Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure compliance with GAAP.

Assist with preparation of supporting schedules and documents needed for external audits.

Assist in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process.

Qualifications / Requirements

B.Sc / HND in Accounting or any related courses.

3 - 4 years of proven experience asan

Accountant inOil and Gas Company

Must have vast Knowledge of financial computing software

Good Calculation Skills

Strong teamwork skills

Strong computer aptitude, which includes proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat, as well as experience with accounting

software (preferably QuickBooks).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills as well as attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.

Self starter with strong ethical standards.

Team player with a positive communication style.

Age: 35 - 45 years.
