General Electric Product Sales Specialist - Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) Careers in Kenya
Essential Responsibilities:Conduct spec-in, spec-out, products qualification
Set target price, with input from Account Manager and PL Commercial.
Build the Risk & Opportunities analysis and the associated mitigations plans.
Validate and challenge Estimate Analysis Sheet and set the price, in liaison with the Account Manager and the PL Commercial.
Launch and follow Tender approval process (TAC/BUSTAM)
Prepare and submit the offer through Account Manager
Lead technical clarification process, listen to & resolve open concerns
Negotiate contract (price, terms and conditions) in coordination with the Account Manager
Prepare and conduct hand over to project / contract execution
Bring market technical feedback to PL R&D
o Conduct Win / Loss analysis with the Account Manager & participate in Return of Experience
Participate to the definition of Commercial Action Plan at Region level
Interface with PLs for load forecasting
Demonstrate commitment to safety through participation in formal and informal discussions
Adhere to all safe working procedures in accordance with instructions
Ensure safety work instructions are complied
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or graduated from a Business School from an accredited university or college.
Min 3 years of experience in sales and tendering experience preferred with good understanding of sales basics.
Good knowledge of Electrical transmission business (in the given area)
Technical knowledge in PL product portfolio is a must
Willingness to travel
Must have valid authorization to work full-time without any restriction in the role’s location
Desired Characteristics
Expertise required in the Energy sector
Experience in business development in coverage area (i.e. specified markets) in SSA
Knowledge of the structure and organization of target companies in the region.
Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple opportunities, consistently meeting deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in international and matrix organizations.
Fluency in English.

Essential Responsibilities
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned individual and team projects tenders using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
Provide technical leadership to personnel/ cross functional teams supporting the assigned project tender
Implement plans with guidance to meet technical requirements of assigned components and systems
Develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/ problems
Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects tenders and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Ensure proper coordination with Projects Engineering team at tender stage to incorporate past projects return of experience in new tenders designs
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering).
At least 3 additional years of experience in Engineering position.
Good knowledge of Electrical transmission business (in the given area)

Essential Responsibilities
Works on projects often requiring independent decision-making - these projects are normally scoped to last between 2 and 6 months in duration.
Develops PowerPoint presentations and other graphic presentations to communicate progress, share best practices, or to provide updates.
May be asked to analyze data with excel or various other analysis tools.
May be asked to take on certain aspects of a full time job within the function the intern is studying.
May be asked to participate in early talent events, seminars or trainings.
Performing assignments where trust and accuracy are required.
In this role, the individual will support the GE ultrasound sales team, Learn about GE Healthcare and be a brand ambassador.
Other responsibilities will include:
Documentation for tenders, demo support, RFQs.
Align across Modalities to support ultrasound business as required.
Support marketing events and sales initiatives.

At least 24 credit hours of coursework toward a bachelors/technical (or equivalent) degree in the function you are interning or a recent graduate from a Bachelors/technical program in the function you are interning.

Previous experience using independent thought processes to plan ahead, process information, maintain workflow and anticipate future needs of the team.
