We are in the talent business where brand and image relies on people. This role will serve at the front line of managing people in the Human Resources angle. You are expected to ensure employee satisfaction remains the highest priority where there is smooth service delivery from the very first day the employee engages with Gebeya in the recruitment process.
Moreover, the employee journey with Gebeya from day to day operations, performance management, Learning and Development and employee engagement should be a seamless process in an aim to have an energetic, enthusiastic and productive team across the board.
Role and Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems,
Provide counseling on policies and procedures,
Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job
descriptions, posting or removing ads and managing the hiring process,
Create and implement effective onboarding plans,
Develop training and development programs,
Assist in performance management processes,
Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues,
Maintain physical and digital employee records (attendance, employee data, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements,
Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management,
Update internal databases with new hire information,
Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like the total number of hires by department,
Respond to employees’ questions about benefits (for example, number of vacation days they are eligible for)
Job Requirements
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Management Information Systems, or any related field
Professional Qualifications
Relevant professional qualification is a plus;
Member of a relevant professional body is a plus Experience
5+ Year of experience in the Human Resources Department of which at least 2 years of experience as a Manager
