Job Title: Fundraising Manager

Job Overview:
Reporting to the Director Finance, the position holder will be expected to handle grant proposals, locking in partners, treasury management, fostering strong relations with banks, PE funds and Government bodies, capital restructuring using debt and equity.


Responsibilities

Negotiating funding arrangements including corporate credit facilities, public and private financing arrangements.

Take led in management of capital restructuring using debt and equity.

Ensure that foreign exchange management is in line with the MPA policies.

Evaluate and recommend optimal capital structure for operating subsidiaries.

Present complex treasury issues to senior management and gain support for proposals

Work on grant proposals and concept note development for identified funding opportunities, as well as taking lead in proposal writing.

Maintain grant files including records on monitoring and evaluation as well as any other quality control activities/tools.

Assemble all relevant components of grant proposals and ensure that MPA Proposal complies with all proposal parameters and detailed requirements for each.

Develop, foster and maintain strong relations with Banks,

Undertake mapping of commercial partners and /or potential partners with the aim of locking them.

Provide support, advice, and guidance to the finance team on treasury management function.

Assess key treasury risks, design and implement risk-based mitigation.

Implementing treasury policies that clearly define the Treasury operations namely for forex, cash management, banking procedures and cash forecasting that conform with the best practice within the organization.

Reporting variances and explain them between forecast and actual cash flow to measure level of forecasting accuracy.


Qualifications

Degree in either finance, Accounting, business, or any of the related fields.

Qualified Accountant with CPA (K)/CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent is an added advantage

8 years’ experience in a Treasury environment.

At Least 3 years management experience.

FinTech experience preferred.

Demonstrate skills/know how in handling financial analysis and knowledge of financial markets
