Funded Traineeships for Young Graduates at the EU Delegation to Kenya

What We Offer

A trainee-ship of 4 up to 6 months for within the Political Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation to Kenya starting in May 2019.

Main tasks:

Actively contribute to the work of the Political, Press and Information Section at the EU Delegation to Kenya,

Follow Kenyan political trends to be able to contribute to political reporting and analysis.
Attending, organising and reporting on meetings with various stakeholders.

Support the Section in organising the 28th European Film Festival, scheduled to take place during the month of May in Nairobi.

This year's festival will include movies from over 20 countries, as well as a number of side events.

This task will involve coordinating with participating countries and partner organisations, work on communication aspects and logistical arrangements.

With the Delegation Press Officer, regularly update the Delegation website and social media accounts.

Important information

Before applying you are requested to examine the dedicated website as well as the general eligibility criteria for a paid trainee-ship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 – Paid trainee-ship)

Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses.

All costs related to travel inside the country of residence, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.

Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered.

After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview.

Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email.

In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
