What is KAUST Global Fellowship?The KAUST Global Fellowship is for postdoctoral scientists and engineers. It is an opportunity to conduct groundbreaking research at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia.
This fellowship targets excellent post-docs who are exceptional and who have breakthrough ideas that can complement, support, contribute, and advance the major research priorities of KAUST.
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is a very good university. It’s located on the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia and is known for being the best university of its kind in the Middle East.

Up to $40,000 in research funding
$75,000 annual living stipend

Applicant Eligibility Criteria
People of all nationalities are welcome to apply.
There is no age restriction.
You must have earned a Ph.D. after January 2020.
You must finish your Ph.D. before starting the fellowship.
You must be ready to move to KAUST for your three-year research project.
You need to find a KAUST professor who agrees to host you and your research project.
Proposal Requirements
Your research must focus on one or more of these areas: Health & Wellness, Sustainable Environment & Essential Needs, Energy and Industrial Leadership, or Economies of the Future.
Your research plan should cover three years.
You must follow the budget rules given in the application.
You must use the form provided.
Required Documents
You must submit the following with your online application:
Your updated resume (maximum 4 pages)
Two of your best research papers
A research plan (use the provided format)
A letter of support from a KAUST professor
Two letters of recommendation from people who know your work well.
