About Free the Slaves:Founded in 2000, Free the Slaves (FTS) is a pioneer and leader in the global effort to eradicate modern slavery. Our mission is to end the conditions that allow modern slavery to exist.
Free the Slaves works at the grassroots level to empower vulnerable individuals and communities to achieve freedom from slavery and develop resistance to slavery. We work with and through local partners to build the capacity to combat slavery and trafficking. We advocate for policies and laws that help in the fight against slavery.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., with programs in the Caribbean, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, Free the Slaves has a diverse and expert staff and a highly engaged and supportive board of directors.

Key Responsibilities:Working under the Senior Regional Manager, the Kenya Programme Coordinator will be managing all aspects of Free the Slaves' anti-slavery programs in Kenya. This will include: -
Collaborating with local partners, NGOs, and government agencies to develop and implement effective strategies to combat modern slavery.
Coordinating and providing support to project teams, ensuring the timely implementation of activities and adherence to project objectives.
Monitoring project progress, evaluating impact, and generating financial and narrative reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Leading capacity-building workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns within communities and partner organizations.
Organizing and
representing Free the Slaves at relevant meetings, workshops, and events to promote anti-slavery efforts and build partnerships.
Managing various communication channels, organizing meetings, fostering partnerships with
local stakeholders, and leading efforts to establish and support a survivor network.
Qualifications and Experience:
At least a bachelor's degree in international development, sociology, Anthropology, law or a
related field.
Proven experience (at least 3-5 years) in managing and coordinating development or human
rights projects, preferably related to anti-slavery initiatives.
Familiarity with the political, social, and economic context of Kenya, including knowledge of
human trafficking and modern slavery issues.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire project teams.
Excellent communication and networking skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders
and partners.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili (both written and spoken) is essential.
