Core AccountabilitiesFinancial ManagementManage preparation of review of budgeting process within provided budget guidelines.
Oversee the accounting function of FHFK covering preparation of payment vouchers, bank transactions, filing of cash books and managing the financial filing system and ensure that all transactions are properly accounted for.
Manage the raising and posting of journals into SUN by the Programme Accountant & undertake weekly reviews.
Processing payment runs in all bank accounts and bank reconciliation.
Ensure implementation and monitoring of internal control processes for FHFK Office to ensure internal controls are in compliance with FHFK finance policies
Support the implementation of the new system development in liaison with the Senior Finance & Admin Manager (SFAM) and Sydney office.
Extract, review and release the Monthly Financial Report (MFR) and authentic Balance Sheet with comments to be released to SFAM by the 3rd working day of the month
Processing of FHFK Payroll on or before the 20th of every month and remittance of all statutory payments within deadline.
Raise quarterly cash flow requests for review by SFAM by the 15th of month preceding a new quarter
Manage the asset register both in SUN and physical inventory.
Preparation of all the necessary audit schedules and support the internal and external audits and implementation auditor’s recommendations.
Programs Support
Development of quality partner financial reports to be used by program and operations staff in the day to day management of the approved budgets and budget tracking.
Support the program accountant to conduct regular program audit visits to all FHEA partners and review field reports
Provide grant management support where applicable

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
CPA(K) or ACCA certified
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or
business preferred.
Knowledge and use of SUN systems
Member of ICPAK
Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in word processing, spread-sheets and accounting software
Experience of financial management
Minimum of 5 years working experience, ideally in an NGO environment or private
Skills and Attributes
