A successful candidate will have the following:

FH Association is seeking an experienced Program Area Coordinator who possesses a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, strategic mindset and is able to comprehensively manage and coordinate the (technical - human, administrative and financial) aspects of program development, design, planning, implementation and evaluation of the “Resilience & Flourishing Through Systems Transformation (RFTS) program model. He /She will ensure effective

implementation of the local area plans integrating key pathways i.e. Physical and mental wellbeing, Productive learning, and Asset creation. As a member of the Extended Management Team (EMT), the PAC will ensure that projects stay on schedule, within scope, and on budget, while fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and risk management in alignment with FH’s RFTS program model. PAC will Co-lead technical design of technical projects with support from the technical program specialists in line with FH’s program design guidelines.

Co-Lead together with the Sponsorship relations coordinator community awareness, relationship building with community leaders, churches and families. Consequently, overseeing registration of children at the new area program. Support the ecosystem approach of accountability for all functional departments of finance, procurement, admin, programs, HR and business development

Experience

The Program Area Coordinator should have a minimum of at least 5 years of experience in managing and implementing programs in the development and humanitarian sector, 2 of which should be in management position within an NGO set up.

• Proven strategic planning and program and project management experience in a humanitarian/development environment.

  • Proven budget management experience coupled with experience in implementing and working in accordance with corporate structures, policies and practices.
  • Experience with working with private and institutional donors.
    Non-profit ministry experience is a plus.

  • Program leadership experience that includes risk and compliance management, financial, business development and resilience programming.

  • Experience in multisector programming with focus on value chain and business development, health and Nutrition and WASH is desirable

  • Experience in sponsorship related projects is an added advantage

    Education/Certifications

  • A bachelor’s Degree in Development studies, Social Sciences, Business Administration (BA), Public Administration (PA), Agricultural sciences, Nutrition, Environment and Resilience Programming or related field.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Project Planning and management, Management Studies, Development studies or M&E

    Job Level Specifications

  • Ability to represent the organization in high-level meetings with donors, local Churches, local government and technical forums

  • Strong people-management and leadership skills

    well as decision- making skills

  • Demonstrated computer -operating skills, including proficiency in Google platforms, Microsoft Office products, and virtual technologies such as Skype, google meet and/ or Zoom.

  • Understand, respect and practice the set of organization’s shared vision, mission and values, including mutual respect, equity and justice; honesty and transparency; solidarity with the poor and marginalized people, sensitivity to gender and ethnic minority issues, courage of conviction; happiness; humility and Christianity

  • Ability to encourage full participation of partners and beneficiaries, to have power sharing and empowerment for them in the program activities.
    Inspire the spirit of learning, moving forward and inculcating excellence within the team
  • Ability to communicate clearly and demonstration of good interpersonal skills

  • Leadership style that will develop the team with ability to train and mentor staff.
  • Workable knowledge of Accounting

  • Should be an active member of a church and must be willing to live in a spiritual community.

  • Must have Valid riding license and ability to ride a motorcycle.

  • Ability to work in field conditions.

  • Ability to instruct and successfully work with young children.


    What you’ll do

    As Program Area Coordinator (PAC), your overall responsibilities will be (JDs Key Result Areas):

    1. Ensuring proper and timely project activity planning, budgeting and execution based on the project’s document and set detailed implementation plans (DIP)
    2. Strategic partnerships development for business acquisition and growth
    3. Financial, Procurement and Risk Management
    4. Leadership, culture and talent development
