Position in the Organization:
The Business Development Specialist reports to the Program Director.
Purpose of the Job:
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for overall leadership in developing and executing strategies for Grant acquisition goals in line with Food for the Hungry Uganda’s vision and purpose.
Protection and Security Clause:
As appropriate, shall be responsible for creating, promoting and maintaining an environment that prevents sexual exploitation and abuse and take appropriate measures for this purpose.
Implement an orientation for all staff including an understanding of the code of conduct and consequences. .
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
Resource Mobilization Strategy Development.
External Engagement and Partnerships Management.
Proposal Development Leadership
Build FH’s visibility and strengthen the organization’s brand and culture
Requirements
Master’s degree in Business, International Development or similar field.
At least 5 years of relevant experience working with a large and complex organization.
Proven experience and successful track record in Resource Mobilization (different models and approaches including Campaigns, grassroots efforts, etc).
Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written
Excellent decision-making skills
Must work independently under difficult
conditions
Strong writing and presentation skills
Strong negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills
Passionate about fulfilling FH mission of demonstrating the love of Christ to people affected by disaster, conflict and poverty.
Maintains an attitude and behavior in accordance with FH values and principles
Job Education Requirements:
Master’s degree in Business
Job Experience Requirements:
5 years of relevant experience
